A local-first mind-map knowledge base
Start with one map, see the connections, then shape scattered notes into a knowledge base you can search, trace, and keep building.

Capture first without forcing a finished structure. Let it change as your understanding grows.
A clear way to work
mindb keeps the work in one visual space. The content, its relationships, and your next action stay visible.
Put text and media into nodes, then drag, indent, and fold them into shape. Your map saves automatically.
Cross-map links, backlinks, and full-vault keyword search connect material spread across different maps.
Use AI chat to propose expansions or restructuring. Suggestions remain distinct from applied changes until you approve them.
Clear data boundaries
Web

Desktop
Maps are readable .mind files with media in the vault folder, making backup and migration straightforward.
Desktop app
The desktop app works the same as the web version: maps stay on your machine as readable files, with native dialogs and system menus.
macOS
Download the zip, unzip it, and drag mindb into Applications. The app is not notarized yet — if macOS blocks the first launch, allow it with either step below.
If blocked: open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway" under Security.
Or run in Terminal:xattr -cr /Applications/mindb.app
Windows
The installer detects and installs the WebView2 runtime automatically. If you prefer not to install anything, use the portable build instead.
